SGC 237 - Auto Antenna Coupler

I have discovered that the biggest issue of HF work is properly matching the antenna.  This neat black box is a "Smart Tuner".

Initially, it has been matching my HF loop in the attic space.  Unfortunately, it did not match on 160m.  On 80m & 40m the match was not good (2:1), but it did work well on 20m.  Not the fault of the tuner, but a consequence of my small HF loop.

In June 2003, I installed it in the boot of the car to match my ATX Driveabout to my FT-100D

It is now out of the car, but currently not connected to anything!  What a waste!  I will have to put it in my "field day" bag!
